ACT II Child and Family Services Society is a non-profit organization committed to providing housing, education, support, and counselling to adults, children, youth and families in need, many of whom have experienced oppression, and/or trauma in their lives.
ACT II is a community-based social service agency operating a variety of professional programs throughout the Greater Vancouver area including – Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Coquitlam. These programs include professional counselling programs, women′s programs, and parenting programs. Within these programs, services provided include parent education, family counselling, sexual abuse counselling, specialized therapeutic intervention, and second stage shelter for survivors of domestic violence.

Family Program:
The staff are great; helped me out a lot; they are willing to give the helping hand when asked; positive; that they try to give you as much info and help about parenting as they can find and don′t talk down to you; ACT II is one of the best parenting courses I′ve been to; do not change a thing; I thank [staff] for understanding and being open enough to help myself out with real good advice and helping me understand a lot of my problems; very good approach to guiding and teaching; the confidence building attitude the staff have been instilling; it is a relaxed environment; they are able to give me helpful advice; friendly and non-judgemental; support would always be there; take the time to explain things to me till I understand it; they gave me confidence in my parenting skills; the staff are all very kind and easy to work with; I like the way staff treat me; staff are honest and upfront; I think the program is great; I like that I am encouraged to do things rather than instructed and ordered to do something.
