Target Population:
Children, adolescents and their families where a child and/or youth has been sexually abused and where the alleged abuser does not live in the same household, the parent/ guardian is acting appropriately to protect the child/ youth, and there are no other child protection concerns.

Target Population:
Parents of children 0 – 6 years of age who are experiencing significant problems and/or difficulties with parenting.
- Families where there are current or potential child protection issues, or where intervention is required to prevent family breakdown.
Service Offered:
- Assessment of parenting skills and abilities.
- Parent support, education, and intervention.
- Individual and group educational sessions focussing on parenting and related issues.
- Opportunites for parents to practice newly learned skills with staff guidance and support.
- Instruction in parent-child interaction skills and relationship building through Child Directed Interaction sessions.

VANCOUVER
SAFE CHOICE SUPPORTED RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
2nd Stage Transition Housing for Battered Women
Target Population:
- Women and their dependent children who have recently fled family violence.
- The primary resident must identify as a woman and live as a woman full-time in all spheres of life, be at least 19 years old, have made a recent firm decision to leave an abusive relationship, have recently spent some time at a 1st stage transition house or working with a domestic violence counsellor or social worker, be willing to work in a staffed program towards change, have an established source of income, have a valid social insurance number, and have evidence of a recovery plan in use, if in recovery from substance misuse.
- Families where there are current or potential child protection issues, or where intervention is required to prevent family breakdown.
Service Offered:
- Offer service-enhanced affordable housing
- Help participants maintain personal health and safety
- Help participants learn practical life skills
- Help participants become self- advocates in interactions with professionals and systems
- Provide support to current and past residents
